Description:
The main objective of the New Integrated Litter Experiment (NILEx) is to quantify the role of biodiversity affecting plant litter decomposition and subsequent mineralisation. Furthermore the impact of litter cover on soil erosion under forest will be investigated. The NILEx is performed in close collaboration between SP 3, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 13. The NILEx Site is situated near Site B in a Castanea mollissima plantation.
