Hierachical Models Occurrence trends
Description:
This project has formed during the second sMon Owrkshop in January 2018 in Leipzig. We will analyze the trends of two/three different taxa (i.e. Amphibians and Odonata; Orthoptera, given the data is sufficient) across germany. In order to allow for these analyses, hierachical models will be developped that allow to integrate data of different information content. We specificallly focus on differences in date precision (from date precision to data only available for year intervals) and with data that have either occurrence (i.e. 0/1 information) or abundance information. The porject formed specifically to wirte a paper on methods to combine data from different sources and different information depths. We wilWe will focus on Amphibian data available from the DGHT (Ulrich Schulte) as well as from federal states and private oberver collections. Moreover, a similar diversity of sources (federal state agencies, associations and private stakeholders) provided data for the taxon of the Odonata. Hierarchical models will be used to dectect changes in species occupancy over time. During the workshop it has been decided that we focus on the time period from 1980 - 2014 for amphibians and odonata.

Amphibia: Model outputs of the occurrence data OccDetMod
Abstract:
This dataset contains the results of the models for trends in species occurrence accross time. To have a brief exploratory look at the results use the "Explore-Amphibian data.R" script from the corresponding GitHub Repos.
