Abstract:
The dataset relates to the Project "Hierarchical Models Occurrence Trends". This datasets contains the actualized data for the analyses of frog occurrences in Germany. The dataset is different from the original dataset that was presented by U. Schulte during the second workshop in that I have updated the Data we have from Saxony with the data we got directly from the federal state department (Holger Lueg). It contains date specific information (in contrast to originally only year precision) on the occurrences of anura in the state of Saxony. It also extends the time period that we study from 2013 to 2014 as the screening of the full dataset (dght original + Saxony) now suggests that 2014 has a sufficient amount of data. Teh dataset contains 9 (nested) datasets: -"anura_dght_1980_2014" is the full dataset (including year interval, year and date precision for all federal states from 1980 - 2014 - "anura_year_precision_1980_2014": similar dataset but all entries with time intervall information excluded - "anura_date_precision_1980_2014": similar dataset but only with occurrence records that have a precision of at least year. - "anura_date_precision_analysis_1980_2014": similar dataset like above, but only with the three federal states of NRW, SN, ST, on which we have date precision data and agreed that we will analyze these with this precision (see discussion during the workshop). Also other datasets that are important to do the occurrence analyses are "regional_codes_dght_980_2014", "regional_codes_year_prec", "regional_codes_date_prec_amph", "regional_codes_date_prec_amph_analysis". These are simple 0/1 matrices indicating which site (i.e. MTB_Q) is in which federal state (nested structure accrding to the above described structure). Here, some fiddling might be needed as some MTB_Qs (in the border regions) are counted for the two adjacent states. This is not allowed when analyzing the data in 'sparta'. If there are any detailed questions, feel free to contact D. Eichenberg. Last but not least I attached the R-Script that was used to update the DGHT Data with the additional Saxony data. It is mainly thought as a documentation. Better do not run this script, as certain steps might take quite long!
