Abstract:
TreeDÌ project: TSP list for site A and B contains all possible TSPs combinations, plot names and parametres, TSPs and Neighbours trees coordinates, their species, their current situation (dead/alive/not available) and all trees circumference measures (by cm) in late summer and early autumn of 2019. Data was collected by P5G PhD student Mariem Saadani together with Ms student Michael Koehler in collaborations with P2G PhD student Andrea Davrinche. Data has been corrected, verified and cleaned by Mariem Saadani and Gemma Rutten.
Design:
Approx. 9 monospecific and 6 heterospecific TSP per species per site were selected. With 16 spec in site A and 14 in site B. There were 3 reps in the mono and two-species plots and 1 TSP for each higher diversity level plot (4,8,16/24). In site B, two pools with overlapping species were selected. This means that Alniphyllum fortunei and Castanopsis fargesii were each combined with 7 other tree species instead of 3. From the planned 240 TSPs in site A, we established 213. From the planned 234 TSPs in site B we established 219 TSPs. NOTE: the file contains all TSPs, including those that could not be estabilshed as indicated in the established column or those that were additionally used by certain subprojects as indicated by (A) additional but right combination and (F) false combination which does not belong to the design in the “combination column”
Spatial extent:
TreeDi selected TreeSpeciesPairs (TSPs) of site A and B of the main experiment
Temporal extent:

Measurement cirumstances:
No information available
Data analysis:
Dendrometric measurements: trunk circumference to express the diameter of TSP's trunk (DBH), it can be used to estimate trees volume and biomass.

TreeDì_P2C Roots and mycorrhizal traits : P2C: Roots and mycorrhizal traits

Description:
Chemical and morphological leaf and root traits of trees have been shown to vary (1) among species, (2) within species and among individuals, and (3) within individuals. So far it is unknown how these three components of trait variation contribute...

TreeDì_P3C Seasonal wood growth : P3C: Seasonal complementarity of wood growth

Description:
Water use Theory predicts that diverse communities use resources more efficiently than monocultures. Under water shortage resource complementarity of water use may buffer growth decline. Carbon isotopes (d13C) in tree rings are used to infer dive...

TreeDì_P4C Parasitoids : P4C: Associational effects mediated by parasitoids

Description:
Local tree interactions might explain community-level associations of herbivores, their enemies, and tree diversity, but are likely modified by the wider tree neighborhood. The relative importance of potential bottom-up and top-down mechanisms und...

TreeDì_P5G leaf fungi: P5G: Drivers of leaf fungal pathogen load

Description:
Foliar fungal pathogens negatively affect plant performance, directly or indirectly by changing the outcome of competition. In contrast, it is not known how leaf fungal pathogen infestation affects other ecosystem functions such as leaf litter dec...
