Abstract:
Stem identifiers (stemID), tag numbers, and species names for stems found in the CSPs. Includes the subplot the stem is located in for most of the stems (compare dataset on subplot location "Subplot naming conventions... ", http://china.befdata.biow.uni-leipzig.de/datasets/218 ). Stem identifiers do not always have a matching tag number, since the identifiers were not changed when during second or third reading in the field the tag numbers on the trees were corrected. There are sometimes several stems per tag number. To reference individual stems, use stem IDs.
Design:
Per metal tag there may be one to many stems. Stem IDs were taken as is, even if in later field periods we realized that tag numbers had to be corrected.
