Abstract:
Soil chemical laboratory analyses of all 27 comparative study plots. Contents of carbon, nitrogen and sulphur as well as pH-values (H2O and KCl) from soil horizons of each soil profile per CSP.
Design:
Soil profiles are located directly adjacent to the CSPs. Samples were taken horizonwise from soil profiles: 1 sample per horizon. So that samples exist according to the soil profile description per CSP (field 60 in the soil profile description sheets). samples were air-dried, sieved < 2mm, ground using a ball mill, using around 40 mg for measurement with vario EL III (Elementar)
Spatial extent:
The Gutianshan National Nature Reserve (NNR) is located in the western part of Zhejiang Province (29º8'18" – 29º17'29" N, 118º2'14" – 118º11'12" E, Fig. 1). The Gutianshan NNR has an area of approximately 81 km2. From 27 comparative study plots (CSPs) soil samples were taken horizonwise from 1 soil profile per CSP
