Description:
Im Landesamt für Umwelt Sachsen-Anhalt setzen rund 200 Wissenschaftler, Ingenieure und Techniker sowie Labor- und Verwaltungsfachkräfte ihr Wissen und Können dafür ein, Lösungen für immer vielfältiger werdende Umweltprobleme zu finden. Dabei liefern ihnen unterschiedliche Messnetze Daten über den Zustand von Luft, Wasser und Boden. Durch Messen, Beobachtung und Analysen erhalten sie Informationen über die Veränderungen in unserer Landschaft und über den Zustand von Fauna und Flora. Diese Daten und deren Bewertung gibt das LAU an Politik und Verwaltung, an Unternehmen sowie interessierte Bürger weiter.
Zentrale Aufgaben des LAU Abt. Naturschutz
- Erfassung der Verbreitung von Tier- und Pflanzenarten sowie von Lebensräumen
- Erstellung bzw. Fortschreibung Roter Listen
- Konzipierung eines repräsentativen Schutzgebietssystems
- Erstellung der Managementpläne, des Gebietsmonitorings und der Berichtspflichten zu den Natura 2000-Gebieten
- Erarbeitung von Grundsätzen zum Biotopschutz
- Erarbeitung von Arten- und Biotopschutz- sowie Hilfsprogrammen
- Umsetzung des Washingtoner Artenschutzabkommens (CITES)
- Mitwirkung bei Landschaftsplanung und Weiterentwicklung des ökologischen Verbundsystems des Landes Stellungnahmen zur Eingriffsregelung, zu UVP-pflichtigen Vorhaben sowie zu FFH-Verträglichkeitsprüfungen
- Schaffung eines Fachinformationssystems Naturschutz- Regelmäßige Anfertigung von Luftbildern sowie deren Auswertung nach Biotop- und Nutzungstypen
- Dokumentation alles Schutzgebietsflächen und -objekte
- Information und Beratung zum Arten- und Gebietsschutz
- Zusammenarbeit mit dem ehrenamtlichen Naturschutz
- Öffentlichkeitsarbeit zu Naturschutz und Landschaftspflege
