Abstract:
Ythis dataset contains infromation on topographic variables for each grid cell (MTB_Q) in Germany. We used a 25m resolution DEM freely available in the internet (direct source here: Volker Grescho from the ESS department, iDiv, Leipzig). Based on algorithms availabe in QGIS, we computed mean elevation, slope, surface rooughness, exposition as well as the ranges of the respective measures for each MTB_Q. This dataset is only an exemplary exceprt of the full dataset for all MTB_Qs. This full dataset can be downloaded as an .rds file in the freeformat section to this dataset.
