Name:
Dr.Forest_Task 5-2: Quantification of human health benefits and risks in three urban forests
Description:
In the three Case Study areas, local stakeholder workshops will be held (Task 6-2), drawing on local expert knowledge in order to co-create realistic forest diversification scenarios and to understand which human health-related benefits and risks are most important in the respective area. After obtaining these scenarios, the BBNs from Task 5-1 will be used to calculate the change in human health risks and benefits, applying both the midpoint and endpoint (DALYs) indicators. In a final step, local stakeholders will discuss the impact of various forest diversification scenarios on the respective human health risks and benefits. The workshop further generates applicable knowledge that subsequently serves to inform and guide local management and national/international policy development rationales by linking to established platforms (see Parts IV B, C and VI).
