Abstract:
Particulate matter (PM) was analysed for all plots in B-Tree, Austria in Summer 2020. Sampling was carried out according to the Sampling Protocol of Task4 Dr. Forest (take a look for in-depth information). After a 18mm rain event and a 6 day period without rain samples were taken. Three dominant trees in the center of each plot were chosen for sampling. 300-400 cm² of leaf area was cut from the top of the canopy and gravimetrically analysed in the laboratory. Results were split up in the PM size classes of PM100 (100-10µm), PM10 (10-2.5µm) and PM2.5 (<2.5µm). Values refer to mg particulate matter per m² leaf area. Mention: this values are not scaled up by the LAI
