Abstract:
Soil samples for fine-root analyses were taken during the 2017 SoilForEUROPE field sampling campaign with the aim to assess whether tree species mixing influences fine-root traits. This dataframe contains the measured fine-root traits for absorptive (first three-order roots only) across the entire soil depth sampled (0-30 cm) and across species. It also contains functional dispersion (FDis) of five absorptive root traits that was calculated based on species-specific fine-root trait values.
