Abstract:
Soil samples for fine-root analyses were taken during the 2017 SoilForEUROPE field sampling campaign with the aim to assess whether tree species mixing influences fine-root traits. This dataframe contains the measured plot-level chemical traits for absorptive (first three-order roots) averaged across species.

For each plot, 5 soil cores were taken to a depth of 10 cm of the mineral soil for each of the respective five subplots ("tree triplets").
