Abstract:
Soil samples for fine-root analyses were taken during the 2017 SoilForEUROPE field sampling campaign with the aim to assess whether tree species mixing influences fine-root biomass and length. This dataframe contains the fine-root biomass and fine-root length data, separately for absorptive and transport fine roots as well as by tree species. These data were used to calculated total and species-specific fine-root biomass (FRB) and root length density (RLD).
