Abstract:
A 2-cycle drying and rewetting experiment was conducted with the soil from the 2017 SoilForEUROPE campaign with the aim to see whether tree species mixing influenced drought effects on soil microbial functioning. Experiment details can be found in Gillespie et al. 2020 Communications Biology. This dataframe contains the raw CO2 and N2O fluxes measured at 5 key points during the experiment: the beginning, after the first drought, after the first rewetting, after the second drought, and after the second rewetting. There are two other datasets associated with this experiment: SFE_Microbial_activity_Drought_data2 and SFE_Microbial_activity_Drought_data3
