Abstract:
Phylogenetic diversity indices of the Exploratory plots, calculated using the Picante R package based on all species in the plot. PD indices: * Faith's - total branch length of all species in the plot * MPD - Mean pairwise distance separating all species in the plot (1. based on number of individuals and 2. weighted by relative abundance) * MNTD - Mean nearest taxon distance for all speciesin the plot (1. based on number of individuals and 2. weighted by relative abundance) We can also calculate the standardised effect sizes for the three indices if required. Phylogeny and script to create PD provided by Oliver Purschke from iDiv. Please contact Sophia for access to the indices as we must acknowledge Oliver in any papers using the indicies.
